Transforming academic workflows at Symbiosis Institute of Technology through Moodle’s first integrated faculty-student collaboration hub:

Stakeholder-Driven Scope: Redesigned Moodle based on requirements from Director/Deputy Director to unify project tracking and career development
Target Audience: 3,000+ students and 50+ faculty across CS/engineering departments
Core Problems Solved:
→ Faculty manually tracking student projects via email
→ Students struggling with disjointed collaborator coordination
→ Generic CVs misaligned with institutional branding
Technical Foundation: Extended open-source Moodle with custom modules for real-time sync and document automation

Stakeholder & User Research
→ Interviewed 10+ faculty/students to identify workflow gaps ("Can’t see who’s working together")
→ Mapped pain points: 70% time wasted on project coordination, inconsistent CV formats

Designed Student Dashboard
→ Project Lifecycle Tools: Add/delete projects + dynamic progress tracking
→ Real-Time Collaboration: Email-based invite system syncing instantly to peers’ dashboards
→ Resume Portal: Upload/auto-generate CVs in Symbiosis brand colors (#1B1B1B + gold)
Engineered Faculty Portal
→ Student Search: Filter by department/year/project status
→ One-Click Portfolio Access: View projects, skills, and downloadable branded CVs
→ Admin Controls: Approve collaborator requests across teams
Implemented Institutional UI
→ Adapted Moodle’s framework with Symbiosis’ visual identity (typography, spacing)
→ Ensured WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for color contrast and screen reader support
